Our client is a major international asset manager that is looking for an Associate to join their direct private equity investment team. They invest into SMEs in developed economies (Europe, Asia and the US) in non-cyclical sectors such as Food, Healthcare, B2B Services. They aim at taking majority participations, and initiate sound value creation initiatives in their portfolio companies, before exiting within a reasonable timeframe. The team will deploy capital out of a fund currently being raised from an international and diversified institutional client base, and the incoming Associate will have a 360° exposure of the investment cycle, as well as value creation initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Support sourcing of direct investment opportunities
  • Manage quantitative and qualitative due diligence on prospective investments
  • Develop and review valuation models, manage the preparation of recommendations for Investment Committee meetings
  • Assist the fund raising and structuring of debt financing and the transaction execution
  • Participate in broader team discussions, review and challenge deals and DD findings from other team members across different offices
YOUR PROFILE:
  • First relevant experience in small-mid caps private equity, auditing, investment banking, strategy consulting, business development or M&A in industry.
  • Prior experiences in investment execution and / or direct company engagement are a strong plus
  • Experience in working in structured small deal teams and be able to operate flawlessly in a large organization
  • Fluent English and German
