QA engineers are embedded into product teams. Such teams are responsible for a set of applications and work in a tight collaboration with business owners. QA members support team with functional and performance testing, automation and integration into CI and manage test environment. Product teams follow agile practices, tailored to the problem area and preferred team approach. You will:

• Closely cooperate with developers and product owners to implement test strategy that meets the needs of the organization
• Work closely with the development and IT operations teams to understand the company's application landscape
• Cooperate with the end users (traders/compliance/risk) to gain deep knowledge of the business side and apply it in the designs of the tests
• Define all necessary test activities for the project and execute those
• Maintain and improve the test environment to mimic production as closely as possible
• Continuously look for improvements of the company's quality assurance processes

What You Will Do

• Carry out white box automation testing using Core Java
• Design system integration test cases and validate them with development team, product owner and business side
• Debug failing tests to provide development team clean reproduction scenario and possible points of failure
• Keep track of bugs in Jira and Confluence
• Participate in code reviews
• Create and maintain test environment

What You Need To Succeed

• Working knowledge of Core Java and understanding of OOP principles
• Working knowledge of QA in SDLC
• Experience in code reviews
• Experience in backend automation or development (preferred, not required)
• Experience in a Linux/Unix environment (preferred, not required)
• Knowledge of SQL, databases and networking (preferred, not required)
• Experience in integration tests into CI/CD pipeline (preferred, not required)
• Strong problem solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
