Job Purpose Working within Marketing Operations, this role is responsible for crafting copy which supports the marketing strategy and communications plan. The Copywriter will be responsible for creating, and/or editing, copy in partnership with the business leads and marketing executives, to support the current and future needs of the business line/s. They will develop, manage and deliver copy, and will be required to: Discuss and understand business requirements, liaising with relevant stakeholders Understand and engage with target audience The focus of the copy will be on Product line [to view the product set see the Canada Life website] however from time to time there may be a requirement to assist across our other lines of business on an ad-hoc basis. The Copywriter will work across multiple platforms, including: Websites, mobile apps, emails, social media, blogs Marketing materials (including brochures and webinars) This is an exciting time for Canada Life as we are currently in the middle of a transformation programme, thus the copywriter will be delivering content to the new style and tone standards as defined by the transformation project. This role will require extensive relationship building across various stakeholders across Canada Life's UK Business. As such, we are looking for someone who can effectively build alliances and enjoys collaborating with numerous stakeholders. We are looking for someone who has the skills to sell-in a concept, and simplify the complex. This person must be a self-starter, who relishes the freedom and the opportunity to help a major UK Financial Services organisation to very tangibly deliver its new brand voice. We expect the successful applicant to be able to hit the ground running, thus interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach are as important as having the required skills. Proactive and solutions focused, we expect this person to quickly onboard and build effective working relationships with all the lines of business, marketing executives and various Marketing Leads across Canada Life UK. The role is based in Bristol, however some travel to London, Potters Bar and other UK locations is anticipated. Duties
Take and interpret content, understanding audience insights and requirements for multichannel collateral ensuring that all content is on-brand and meets stakeholder and key target audience expectations and delivering to agreed timelines. Inputting to delivery schedules and master project plans working with PM Team to help manage delivery and flow-through of assets into compliance colleagues etc. for approval.
