Our client, a leading US hedge fund is looking for Trading Technology Production Engineers to further strengthen our technical operations. The successful candidate will be working very closely with the trading, quantitative, business, and software engineering teams. They will be looking for technically strong talents to support and enhance their core trade applications, with the aid of cutting -edge technology in a complex and fast pace environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage the configuration of multiple production silos, covering multiple asset classes
• Improve uptime, capacity, and performance of trading systems
• Critical production issues and incident management and reporting
• Work with engineering and QA teams in regression testing functionality and stress testing application servers
• Extensive automation work to eliminate recurring incidents
• Review software designs to prevent failures in other parts of the stack
• Involve in product development from idea and inception
• Manage critical and direct communication lines with front line traders, business managers, and development leads

Qualifications

• Significant experience in UNIX/Linux, Networking, a high-level scripting/ programming language such as Perl, Python or Ruby, Sybase, extensive experience with databases and SQL
• Exposure to building and managing large-scale systems and application architectures
• Proven experience in application support and administration
• Understanding the concepts of CI/CD and SDLC
