The Web Components and Tools (WEBCOAT) is an internal team which enables Avaloq and our customers to build state-of-the-art web based User Interfaces (UIs), via a shared library of custom UI components and tools. This allows our consumers to achieve UI/UX consistency across application and entire product suite scope.  Our UI architecture allows a lot of flexibility and doesn't set any limits to future innovation within the Avaloq ecosystem.

Our small team consists of software engineers, and a product owner, all of whom put the customer first in pursuit of their roles and the daily tasks they require. We are a self-organised team and use agile methodologies. We are not afraid of meeting short time deadlines without compromising on the quality of our work.

Your mission:
  • closely collaborate with the product owner, business analysts and other developers;
  • design, develop, document and maintain thought-out solutions within the team's responsibility addressing customer requirements;
  • improve and optimize existing functionalities;
  • develop and maintain automated tests;
  • take ownership and responsibility for your area of expertise;
  • work in an agile environment, helping us to improve our processes.
  • Expert know-how in JavaScript, Typescript, HTML and CSS
  • Several years' experience with Angular 2+
  • Experience with Unit testing (Jest), End-to-end testing (Cypress)
  • Experience with versioning and automation software (Git, Jenkins)
  • University degree in computer science or equivalent
  • Able to dive quickly into complex problems, refactor and optimize existing code.
  • Structured and autonomous approach to working
  • A good team player
  • English C1

You will get extra points for the following:
  • Experience with Angular Material
  • Basic experience of Security concepts, eg. CSP
  • Experience with Material design
  • Experience in Docker or Kubernetes
  • Experience in client lifecycle management
  • German language skills
