An International Banking giant currently has an opportunity for a Financial Controller to join the business and support the strategic vision of the UK CFO in the day-to-day running of the Finance function. Working for an international bank, the Financial Controller will take on a broad remit including financial control, regulatory reporting and management of the finance team. 

You will play a key role in supporting the bank to deliver on its strategic objectives as well as meeting the demands of an increased reporting and management of internal projects. 

Financial Controller - Key Responsibilities:

• Overall responsibility of running the day-to-day Finance operations of the UK business; including financial reporting, control and oversight of the regulatory reporting function.
• Formulate budgets and business planning activities with a focus on maximising profitability
• Lead and oversee the production of statutory financial statements and and ensure accounts are prepared in line with IFRS
• Management of the accounts payable function, ensuring robust financial controls are in place and management of CapEx within budget limits. 
• Management of Regulatory Reporting and Financial Accounting teams - motivating, supporting and developing staff within the function. 

You will be ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified with post-qualified experience working in a finance leadership role within Financial Services, preferably within Banking. Knowledge of UK tax and regulatory requirements is important given the technical involvement this role will have, as well as an in-depth knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS).
