The team are looking for dynamic and driven candidates with exceptional financial modelling skills with a desire to move over to the buy-side. You must be comfortable building complex models from scratch, as well as manipulating, interrogating and testing existing models. The role will include ongoing training and development and will involve significant exposure to all aspects of the business.

The selected candidate will be trained to utilise their analytical and modelling capabilities to support investments in stressed, distressed and special situations opportunities, with a focus on Corporate, Real Estate and Financial Services, across the capital structure.

Skills:

• Significant financial modelling experience with strong analytical and research skills, with a track record of developing integrated models from scratch – the successful candidate will have real pedigree and confidence in their financial modelling ability
• You will likely have three to five years' experience in a financial modelling or advisory team within a top tier accounting firm or alternatively in investment banking / structured finance
• Some experience with PowerBI, VBA or other programming languages would be advantageous, but not a requirement
• Demonstratable interest in investing or financial markets, either in a personal or professional capacity
• Strong academic record, preferably with a numerate degree
• Highly numerate with a logical approach to problem-solving and strong attention to detail
• Experience in managing and mentoring junior staff
• Down to earth style and comfortable communicating and working with senior management from portfolio companies of various sizes and geographies
• Proactive, self-starter comfortable with increasing responsibilities while working and contributing to small deal teams
