Who we're looking for?

We are looking for an experienced performance analyst to help support the performance team in 2021 during key projects which are expected to go live. The role will require the individual to complete regular assigned BAU performance and attribution tasks, including ad-hoc requests. The successful candidate will work alongside an experienced and well-established performance team. There will also be an opportunity for the individual to have some exposure to project work, including performance and attribution testing.

The role is expected to be required for 6 months, with a possibility of an extension to 12 months, subject to review and approval.

What you'll do

• Produce gross and net of fee returns for segregated and fund performance reporting.
• Attribution and analytics reporting (including ex-post risk) for Equity and Multi asset accounts.
• Produce internal group performance, strategy and composite reports.
• Provide Morningstar data and competitor analysis as requested.
• Respond to queries and ad-hoc requests from Investment managers, client service and distribution teams.
• Help maintain and develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
• Solution focused; producing customised reporting and or efficiency gains when required.
• Reconciliation of performance data with third party custodians and administrators.
• Assist in on- boarding of new clients performance requirements.
• Maintenance of GIPS composite maintenance.
• Keep up to date with current industry standards (GIPS).
• Create and maintain up to date procedures and controls.

The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need

• Minimum of 5 years' experience working in a dedicated performance team.
• High technical knowledge of performance and attribution reporting. 
• Ex-post risk statistics reporting experience.
• Working knowledge of Portfolio/fund accounting data and the dependency on performance and attribution.
• Must have exposure to all the main asset classes and able to respond to queries and ad-hoc requests from stakeholders.
• Knowledge of Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS).
• Has exposure to performance projects and is receptive to change.
• Is able to understand new stakeholder's requirements and provide solutions for new performance and attribution reporting.
• A high level of numeracy.
• Effective communication skills, verbal, written and presentational.
• Work as an individual performer and a team player.
• Procedures and controls focus.
• Graduate with a numerate and or finance discipline.

• Strong MS Excel skills.

The knowledge, experience and qualifications that will help

• Performance system experience; B-One, Statpro composites, Aladdin (Prism/Explore), Factset (TBR, Holdings), Morningstar, VBA/Macro.
• Accounting system experience; SimCorp Dimension, Aladdin Accounting
• Exposure to performance projects including; accounting, security level performance and attribution testing.
• GIPS composite maintenance and verification experience.
• CIPM/CFA
