Job Role:

• Acting as a first point of contact for compliance concerns
• Provide compliance advice to SEO and Board
• Conduct KYC screenings and onboarding of new clients
• Training staff on compliance and AML procedures
• Reviewing and auditing the organisation's adherence to compliance procedures
• Being a champion of compliance culture
• Remaining up to date on current regulatory and compliance changes
• Reporting compliance issues and recommending changes to procedures and manuals
• Creating and implementing AML frameworks, procedures and policies
• Developing and monitoring corporate governance frameworks
• Developing strategies for risk management and actively monitoring risks
• Addressing issues with regards to BCP, Data Protection and financial regulatory compliance

Compliance Officer Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

A compliance officer should be educated to degree level and may have industry-specific qualifications. To fulfil the compliance officer job description to the fullest, professionals should have 3 to 5 years' experience in some or all of the following qualifications, experience and skills:

• Previously authorised by the DFSA/FSRA
• Regulatory compliance expertise
• ACAMS or CISI qualified
• Risk management expertise
• Experience with AML policies
• Experience designing risk and compliance frameworks
• Experience in Insurance and /or Corporate Advisory
• Very strong English speaking and writing skills
• Good presentation skills
