About the Department
The Credit and Risk Management function is comprised of three teams: Risk Management, Credit and Special Asset Management. We manage the risks arising from the Group's business activities within the risk appetite established by the Board. This involves identifying and evaluating the risks, developing effective risk governance and strategies as well as providing independent assessment of the overall risk profile.
Job Responsibilities
The Credit Analyst Team Lead has a key role to manage the team performing credit, business and financial analysis on issuers or counterparties. Key responsibilities are:
- Be responsible for team's performance of internal credit ratings and annual reviews for issuers or counterparties covered under Global Markets (GM), ensuring adherence to the Bank's policy .
- Lead team to evaluate the overall credit worthiness of the issuer and/or counterparty and the ability to meet credit obligations periodically and alert any adverse conditions impacting the business.
- Lead team to perform control and reporting activities required for issuers or counterparties covered.
- Lead team to conduct analysis on market issuances for potential opportunities.
- Work with GM front office to support all related credit analysis matter.
- Work with Group Credit to fulfill requirements to support Global Markets business.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Business/Accounting/Finance with at least 12 years of relevant experience, or comparable professional qualifications.
- Experience in independently conducting credit and financial analysis, preferably with banks, NBFI or credit rating agency.
- Ability to lead team to deliver outcome of consistent good quality within stipulated timeline in a dynamic environment.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Strong market knowledge is an advantage.
