Software Engineer – Financial Markets A global technology firm that is delivering cutting-edge software products for leading financial markets institutions is currently looking for a software engineer to develop new features in-line with client requirements.
The Company With offices globally, the client operates within the upper tiers of capital markets designing, developing, implementing and testing comprehensive software products that allow businesses to serve and support cross-asset trading. They work with the largest global financial institutions, investment banks, asset managers, hedge funds, brokers, etc, and help them realise transformational change and then implement this change using strong technical and domain knowledge. The goal of the business is to encourage ambitious change to further develop their client's growth as well as their employees.
The Role This role will see you work closely with product managers, clients and the sales team to thoroughly understand technical requirements then implement market-leading technical solutions in-line with these requirements which will allow their clients to perform their day-to-day duties on a trading desk. As well as the development aspect of this role, the client will be looking to transition this candidate into a team lead position, where you will train/mentor junior developers in trade life-cycle development and expand their knowledge of financial markets products.
Strong software analysis, design and development skills.
Minimum of 3 years' development experience using either C# or Java.
Knowledge and practical experience working with SQL.
Experience in finance and capital markets. Front-office experience is highly desirable.
Great verbal communication skills.
