This is a unique opportunity to work with a leading industry figure as the first finance appointee. The business has been successfully launched and has the foundations for long term success, which due diligence at a later stage in your application process will make abundantly clear. Our client has already successfully headhunted some of the market's best junior talent on the investment side and our attention is currently focused on appointing the first finance appointee. The initial phase of this role will involve building finance: helping to set up procedures, systems and controls to be able to then run an efficient and robust finance function. This is a stand-alone finance role with the opportunity to develop into a Finance Director as the firm grows. The role will encompass all aspects of LLP and LP finance. You'll co-ordinate external accountancy, audit, fund administration, tax and other external advisors. Moreover, you'll play a key role in supporting the wider operations of the business in conjunction with General Counsel, founder, senior team and be able to professionally respond to investor queries. 

The successful applicant will be a qualified accountant, operating as a Fund Controller, Financial Controller or Head of Finance in a private equity firm, private debt fund or other alternative investment manager.
