Scientific Beta, a SGX and EDHEC venture, is the name of the smart beta index provision activity originally set up by the EDHEC Risk Institute, the applied finance research centre of EDHEC Business School. Data Purchasing and Risk & Compliance Deputy – Vacancy in Singapore – Full time position
As part of its development, Scientific Beta is looking to recruit a deputy to the Head of Risk & Compliance who also cover data purchasing.
The successful candidate will have a proven experience in a purchasing role within the financial industry, knowledge and exposure to legal and contractual matters, and knowledge of the regulatory environment for asset manager will be a plus.
The candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of experience and very good written and spoken English skills.
Flexibility, responsiveness, team spirit as well as organizational skills are essential.
The candidate will support the Head of Risk and Compliance to:
Set up a data purchasing function necessary for the index calculation;
Harmonise and optimise the purchase of financial and extra-financial data;
In time, being capable to cover the acquisition and renewal of ESG and climate change data;
Provide help on tracking compliance questions, notably with prospects.
A Singapore work permit is mandatory.
The salary will be determined according to the Scientific Beta pay scale, based on the candidate's qualifications and previous experience.
