Principal Investment
Principal Investment invests in corporate equity and debt, real estate equity and debt, growth equity and infrastructure worldwide. Principal Investment is looking to hire an Associate or Vice President to join its Finance team in Hong Kong. The position offers an excellent career opportunity for a candidate seeking exposure to a varied portfolio across the full capital spectrum. The role involves working closely with divisional leadership as well as regional and global CFOs, to help monitor and manage risks and to drive our business and key initiatives for APAC. The candidate should be a highly-motivated individual with a passion for financial markets who is looking to challenge him/herself from Day 1.

Principal Responsibilities
  • Monitor daily P&L, FX and balance sheet exposures, hedges and risks reports
  • Responsible for private transactions trading booking
  • Analyze hedges for management to determine potential hedge adjustments
  • Coordinate the execution of hedges & listed equities monetization
  • Work closely with Controller to manage daily P&L and weekly reporting
  • Ensure properly reflected in systems
  • Interface with Strats and MRMA on risk exposure capturing and limit management
  • Coordinate structuring of new investments and help manage Federation review of the business.
  • Facilitate deal closing, portfolio management and harvesting activities
  • Represent MBD and liaise with internal groups and external advisors to help resolve any legal, compliance, tax, accounting and operational issues.
  • Manage ad hoc requests from senior management, including data management, reporting and presentations.
  • Support senior members on asset management activities and reviews
  • Facilitate internal and regulatory driven information requests
  • Help manage various challenges the business faces


RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
Basic Qualifications:
  • 4-6 years of experience in financial service industry (principal or structured investment in particular)
  • Strong financial analytical skills and accounting knowledge across multiple asset classes (with focus on FX and other derivative products risk management)
  • Strong skills with MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Required to quickly grasp and effectively use firm developed systems
  • Excellent verbal and writing, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work across internal and external teams
  • Self-starter with strong desire to succeed in a fast paced, high pressure, results driven environment
  • Ability to multi-task with strong attention to details
  • Commercial focus and team oriented
