Our client, an impressive boutique fund platform, has created a standalone opportunity for a CASS Operational Oversight SME to join its operations team.
This is an exciting opportunity to make your mark and help establish a CASS Operational Oversight & Governance framework from scratch to ensure compliance with the FCA Client Money and Client Asset Rules (CASS) by implementing and ensuring that all CASS Oversight processes and procedures are documented and maintained.
Your responsibilities will also include timely completion of client asset reconciliations, interaction with internal departments in the UK as well as head office for all CASS matters, the maintenance and review of the CASS resolution pack (CASS RP), the preparation and submission to the FCA of the TPCAR/CMAR, attendance in CASS management meetings, administer internal & external custody asset reconciliations, reporting of CASS breaches to name a just a few tasks & responsibilities. You will also be experienced in preparing for audit and FCA visits.
Acting as the CASS SME for the firm, you will assume responsibility for ensuring the CASS framework complies with the CASS rulebook, establish & maintain policies and procedures that comply with CASS requirements and provide technical support across the business requiring strong interpersonal skills.
Candidates will be accustomed to communicating effectively across all levels of a diverse range of colleagues and teams providing technical CASS guidance and support.
It is essential candidates demonstrate an excellent knowledge of the FCA CASS rules relating to client money as well as demonstrable experience of applying the FCA CASS sourcebook gained from either a Fund Platform, an investment management firm or a Transfer Agency environment. It is preferred that candidates have successfully completed the CISI - Client Asset Examination however this is not essential.
