(a) Strengthen operational risk management governance and framework.
(b) Support local management and global risk committees in the management of operational risk, including submission of relevant reports.
(c) Review operational risk metrics / data and escalate significant incidents and key trends for management attention.
(d) Liaise with Head Office ORM team to roll out / localise operational risk management framework, policies, program and tools in alignment to BOS Group, taking into consideration local regulatory requirements.
(e) Provide guidance to business units and local management on operational risk management methodologies and tools to enable business units to manage their operational risks in a structured, systematic and consistent manner. This includes:
Self-Assessment Programs such as Risk and Control Self Assessments (RCSA)
Key Risk Indicators (KRIs)
Operational Risk Events management and reporting
Outsourcing Risk Management
Technology, Information and Cyber Risk Assessments.
Business Continuity Management
Physical Security Assessments
(f) Work with Business Partners and other relevant stakeholders to strengthen and promote operational risk awareness, which includes training.
(g) Lead and / or support the implementation of local and global operational risk initiatives in Dubai.
(h) Lead and / or participate in risk committees and working groups that have been established to enhance governance and oversight over operational risk matters.
(i) Lead and / or participate in the assessment and analysis work as part of thematic reviews arising from processes, initiatives, significant operational risk events, emerging risks, etc.
(j) Will cover the above operational risk management for both Dubai and BOSWM Luxembourg and London Branch. ~~Requirements:
Degree in finance / banking or related discipline preferred
Minimum 8 years of relevant working experience in operational risk, audit or operations in a banking environment. Candidates with Private Banking experience are preferred.
Strong leadership and management ability.
Possesses good understanding and knowledge of banking products, processes, operations and regulations.
Good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills to facilitate interactions with senior management and key stakeholders and Business Units in the organisation.
Able to exercise sound judgment and establish both strategic and tactical plans in the management of operational risk.
Analytical mindset and good report writing skills.
Able to multi-task in a competitive environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
