We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an Assistant Manager, Product Governance - HSBC Life.
Support projects related to product development and in-force management for the execution and delivery of the product strategy and solutions, including product demises, product document preparations for new product launch, annual dividend review, Annual Fulfillment Ratio on PWS, delivery or changes of our annual Insurance PICS
Support any assigned activities of the In-force insurance portfolio to ensure all regulatory and contractual obligations are met, including but not limited to regulatory guidelines, Internal Audit Levy Submission, UK Tax Chargeable Event
Provide technical analysis for example calculate customer yields, illustrate IRR impact, for day to day maintenance activities including incidents, complaint handling, or any product enquiries.
Support regular conduct and or business review and analysis on our product portfolio in order to ensure sustainability of in-force portfolio.
Support the closure of any assigned audit management actions, internal control testing and reporting in order to manage the associated risks to in-force portfolio.
Manage the internal Control Monitoring activities over the design and operating effectiveness, periodically review the controls and ensure the results are recorded in HELIOS in a timely manner.
Support the implementation and maintenance of our Insurance Document Centre and act as the custodian and guardian of the document repository to ensure all product collaterals fully comply with Legal FIM and regulatory obligations.
Support the local product approval process in accordance to Insurance FIM, GPPC, Global Wealth. Work closely with Product Managers in relation to product governance & risk control to ensure that it adheres to Insurance FIM, in particular, on the product governance structure and framework.
Support the delivery of various reports or updates to various business committees, including but not limited to INHK Hong Kong Executive Committee, Wealth Management Oversight Committee, RMM, RO Oversight and Group Insurance
Manage the monthly accrual process and support any related AOP tasks
Act as departmental BCP manager to coordinate with different parties for the contingency plan arrangements.
Work closely with local and global project managers, business analysts, IT and System expects and other entities' working partners to help manage and complete the business growth and change initiatives and projects, regulatory requirements and enhancement per agreed timeline, approved budget and confirmed requirement
Support portfolio incidents and delivery of any remediation plan and build controls, as necessary, to avoid recurrence
Work closely with all key stakeholders from Group and Local Office to maintain the highest standard of governance process to improve efficiency and proactively challenge status quo to meet evolving business needs
Minimum of a bachelor's degree in business studies with a background in marketing, or finance or insurance is preferred. Bachelor's degree in Actuarial science is an advantage.
Relevant experience in a marketing role, ideally has worked for a banking or financial institution with past track record in the development of product-related form artifacts and collaterals to different customer segments via multiple distribution channels
Proven experience of supporting to a diversified team with multiple objectives
Strong analytical skills to understand to translate, simplify and prioritize the requirement
Ability to work independently with timely update and in a team environment
Highly effective communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills, with excellent relationship building and stakeholder management skills
High levels of energy and enthusiasm, with the ability to influence and engage in a positive and inspiring manner
Be strong awareness, proactive, good at time management and organisation skills
Product knowledge in insurance and/or wealth management products, is an advantage
Strong communication and writing skills in both Chinese and English, is a must
