The role

• Work within our data analytics team to acquire, ingest, review and analyse large quantities of both structured and unstructured company and sector financial and operating data and applying it to existing and potential investments as part of a fundamental-driven investment process.
• Developing infrastructure to automate data pipelines, develop interactive dashboards and time series prediction tools
• Conduct systematic data analysis to identify and flag key changes/ leading indicators in existing and potential investments
• Support lead data scientist and develop understanding of thesis driving actual or potential investments and be able to identify and source alternative data-driven solutions to (a) augment traditional sources of information and/or (b) validate or disprove investment assumptions.

Job Requirements

• Strong proficiency in data manipulation using any of Python/R/Matlab is essential
• Experience in time-series analysis, applied statistics and machine learning are ideal
• Proficiency operating and developing in a Linux environment is preferred
• Basic familiarity with SQL/cloud services/data structures/high performance computing are a plus
• Solid background in computer science/engineering required
