Job Description Moody's Analytics' Software Engineering department is looking for an intern for an internship with a preferred duration of 6 months.
Moody's Analytics provides software to banking institutions for them to manage their financial risks. Deployment models include SaaS (Software as a Service) through our Banking Cloud solution and solutions for clients' on-premises.
Within our department, the intern will study how to improve our SaaS calculation engine with a metadata lineage module that can track how clients' data are transformed by our analytics and across our analytics in order to produce regulatory reports.
The key deliverable will be a documented prototype that can be integrated into our Banking Cloud platform.
The intern will determine the best programming language to use for the task.
Studying towards a Master's in Computer Science, Engineering or related field of study
Understanding of Object or Functional Oriented design and development
Good verbal and written communication skills
Experience in Programming Languages highly desired: C++, Oracle PL/SQL, Java, Scala/Spark or others
Experience with Databases highly desired: Oracle, PostgreSQL
Experience in data access techniques for relational databases highly desired: SQL
