Our client is a prominent family office with substantial financial resources. The firm is currently investing across a range of asset classes - from listed companies to private equity, venture capital and fund of funds. It is now looking to add an Investment Controller to support the growing team. In this position, you will work closely with the investment management team across several asset classes and ensure best-in-class performance controlling. Furthermore, you will identify strengths and weaknesses in the asset portfolio and provide the investment committee with critical information. The position will be based in the Berlin area. RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitor/benchmark asset performance
Identify strengths and weakness in the asset portfolio and provide investment committee with relevant information to enable decisions
Controlling of key performance indicators
Own the ongoing maintenance of asset-related data
Portfolio reporting on performance and various aspects of investment strategy
Work closely with the investment management team across asset classes
Support the investment team in due diligence processes
Take ownership of the coordination and controlling of regulatory and compliance matters
Finalize closing documents and setting up of new investments in internal asset management and tax compliance systems
Excellent academic track record in Business Administration, Finance or related disciplines
Initial relevant work experience in investment management, M&A, financial due diligence or controlling
Previous work experience in relevant asset class, e.g. real estate, venture capital, private equity or direct investments is a strong plus
Strong analytical skills and an affinity for numbers and IT systems
Excellent MS Office skills (in particular Excel)
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Fluent English skills are essential to succeed in this position, German skills are helpful, though not a must
