Are you an experienced software developer with a passion for risk management / modelling? Do you have strong software development skills in either Python, C#, C++ or F#? Are you keen to work for an established but growing commodities trading firm? If so this could be the perfect Risk Developer job for you.
You will be joining a close knit team that are responsible for performing risk analytics for the commodities traders. The team operate in a hybrid technology and risk management capacity, developing and enhancing the trading and risk management software, designing and developing the risk infrastructure which includes ETL pipelines, the Risk datawarehouse and the market data store as well as interacting with traders to understand and monitor their risk and P&L.
The group has expanded rapidly, which provides numerous technical challenges and heavy investment to grow group wide technology and group wide risk. This is a unique opportunity to be an early member of the team and help to shape the architecture of risk technology as well as aligning this with the broader technology team in terms of software engineering best practice.
The team are hiring multiple levels of experience. Developers with strong programming skills and a keen interest in learning about Risk will be considered and similarly candidates with excellent knowledge of Risk Management and multiple years of experience will also be considered. What is essential is a good technical background in a programming language such as Python, C#, C++ or F#. Excellent numerical and analytical skills, Excel skills and an interest in Risk Management.
