The AMATS team is a combined practice of Insurance, Human Capital, Cyber and Intellectual Property experts with a dedicated focus on transactional activity. The team provides insurance advisory services to private equity and infrastructure funds as well as strategic, corporate buyers, on both buy-side and sell-side opportunities. We are seeking a candidate for a project management position. The candidate must have a wealth of experience in the insurance industry either as an underwriter of broker. Specific M&A transaction and/or project management experience is not a pre-requisite although helpful.
The primary responsibility of the AD will be to undertake M&A insurance due diligence engagements which provide project management and advisory services to Buyers and Sellers in the pre-acquisition and pre-sale environment. The project work will consist of insurance due diligence, planning for post-closing insurance programmes, new entity cost structures, and reviewing applicable transaction documentation. Additionally, the role will involve the proactive identification of any additional M&A insurance solutions and wider advisory services that Aon may also be able to provide to clients during the transaction and following the completion of a deal.
Key to the role will be the coordination of Aon resources, technical advice and solutions across various geographies and practices within Aon. Regular interface with the Client and their advisors is a key facet of the role.
Undertake insurance due diligence advisory for private equity, infrastructure and corporate clients in support of their M&A processes; diligence includes a review of the target's exposure and insurance-related information provided in the data room, interviews with management, collection and tracking of requested information, gleaning and collation of technical insurance commentary and production of diligence reports.
Drive project management engagement.
Enhance the consistency and quality of our client deliverables by coaching, managing and overseeing junior members of the team.
Liaise with clients and other advisors.
Coordinate internal Aon expertise/resources/solutions across various practices and geographies.
Increase the ratio of solutions delivered on each engagement through pro-active identification of deal issues where AMATS can deliver value adding solutions.
Management of post-close programme placement.
Build and foster client relationships.
You bring skills & expertise
Excellent communication, influencing and interpersonal skills across organisational levels.
Property & casualty insurance experience (broking or underwriting).
Ability to work independently, manage competing tasks through effective prioritisation and delegation.
Track record of delivering the highest quality client deliverables (written and verbal).
Comfortable with flexible work schedule.
Report writing skills, specifically articulating complexity in a clear and concise manner.
Internal and external networking experience and abilities.
Technical insurance and due diligence background.
Additional foreign language skills beneficial.
University Qualification or equivalent.
ACII (full or part qualified).
General insurance experience.
