A Platinum Financial Services practice, located in Wilmington, DE, is seeking a highly motivated Financial Advisor to join our team. Step into an instrumental role with an established Platinum Financial Services Independent practice at Ameriprise Financial; Help conduct the smooth operation of a fast-paced-and friendly- financial planning office. Work as an employee of an independent advisor franchisee with a financial advisory practice of Ameriprise Financial. You will work in partnership, as part of a team, and be responsible for managing the key functions within the back office of this the financial planning practice and focus on growing your own client base. Series 7, Series 63 & 65 or Series 66 and DE life insurance licenses are required. Step into a critically important and instrumental role with an established practice at Ameriprise Financial.
As an affiliated financial advisor with our team you will work with clients to help them achieve their financial goals. You will also be focused on creating and delivering a unique client experience that defines and differentiates this practice. This position will consistently follow high standards of business and professional ethics and legal and regulatory requirements when dealing with others and/or performing work activities. The other critical component of this hybrid position is the paraplanner role which will focus on managing the key operational aspects of the practice while offering support and leadership of our financial planning business.
Responsibilities and Time Allocation will change over time to meet the needs of the practice and can include other duties as assigned by the Franchise Advisor.
Position Functions:Time AllocationParaplanner - Servicing the Franchise Advisor practice and clients50%
Manage all money movement requests from clients and Franchise Advisor.
Execute trades promptly and accurately for clients and Franchise Advisor.
Implement and manage all SPO/DCA arrangement for clients and Franchise Advisor.
Follow up and complete back office work, such as processing client forms and troubleshooting through partnership with the Ameriprise Home Office and other resources within the Firm.
Develop your skills regarding the Ameriprise Financial Planning Tool Suite and product offerings by assisting the Franchise Advisor in planning and advice services.
This role is expected to reduce over time as your Financial Advisor responsibilities increase for your growing practice.

Acquire new clients and/or increase business opportunities with existing clients through the Financial Planning process.
Provide high quality service to our clients.
Responsible for monitoring and maintaining client accounts involving complex issues and a variety of financial instruments.
Manage daily client transactions and inquiries accurately, within established deadlines.
Deal directly with clients on a myriad of financial issues and needs through the Financial Planning process
Coordinate and follow through on client requests for financial solutions and services (i.e. open/close accounts, check orders, money transfer, trading etc.)
Research, follow-up, and resolve client inquires and issues through effective interaction with clients, third party vendors and broker dealer.

Education and other Qualifications Required:
College degree or higher
5+ years of similar experience
Series 7, Series 63 & 65 or Series 66 and DE life insurance licenses are required
CFP® designation and/or other professional designations desirable
