As a member of the Regulatory Reporting team, you will be responsible for performing daily calculation, monitoring of the regulatory ratios and preparing regulatory returns for submission to the MAS. You will understand and apply rules, interpretations and assumptions around regulatory requirements and ensure regulatory obligations are accurately completed and lodged on a timely basis.
With your understanding of operational risk and ensuring controls meet internal risk policies, you will also be identifying areas and drive for process improvement, enhancements and automation. You will be involved in implementing changes driven by regulatory change or internal business changes and adhere to Macquarie Group's financial control standards.
To be successful in this role, you will possess good banking industry knowledge /experience and have knowledge of MAS regulatory reporting rules and requirements. High attention to details and the ability to flag potential issues before they become a problem will be important. You will have the ability to identify potential problems by solving complex and ambiguous issues and possess strong communication skills. Having both strong numerical and abstract reasoning skills and the ability to access and test the validity of complex data will be useful in this role. You will also have a high degree of comfort in dealing with information technology and strong MS office skills. Lastly, you should have a Bachelor in Accounting or Finance and hold a professional accounting qualification.
