You will be part of a dynamic team that drives software quality through the implementation of Software Quality Assurance practices and processes across the entire IT. In this role, you will be responsible for the change management to enable IT application teams to adopt shift left testing.
You will also lead an engineering team to stay in touch with latest test automation technology trends, provide technical leadership, and develop and deploy test automation capabilities to the IT application teams.
In addition, you will develop and promote the software development and acquisition policies, standards, processes and guidelines that can be adopted by IT application teams.
Quality Assurance and Processes
Lead the ongoing development and review of software development and acquisition policies, standards, and/or guidelines
Ensure that the processes are in place to support Agile and Waterfall software development
Conduct trainings to IT teams to ensure that all team members understand and apply the processes
Review of artefacts from IT teams to provide assurance that all teams adhere to the policies, standards and/or guidelines
Test Automation Capability
Provide strong leadership and guidance to a team of engineers to provide test automation services to IT teams
Develop and implement test automation framework for the various IT teams
Stay updated with latest test automation technology trends, and apply them to improve Income's test automation capabilities
Work closely with IT Product Onwers and IT Delivery Managers to deliver and evolve automated testing capabilities to enable Income to deliver high quality applications and digital solutions
Provide change management and training to IT application teams in the adoption of Shift Left testing approaches like Test Driven Development or Behaviour Driven Development
Develop metrics to track competencies of Test Automation and QA team members by skills set. Work with team members to continuously improve and achieve higher level of competencies.
Strong interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building
Strong advocate of standards and challenge status quo with new and emerging technology to address new business challenges
Excellent oral and written communications skills and experience interacting with both business and IT individuals at all levels including the executive level
Degree holder in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent
At least 10 years of relevant experience in application development, implementation of test automation technology and/or development of software development and acquisition policies, standards and guidelines
Experience working with Agile and Waterfall software development methodologies
Experience in implementing and collaborating with IT application teams to adopt Test Driven Development or Behaviour Driven Development
Working experience to integrate Test Automation into a DevOps pipeline
Knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements like MAS TRM Guidelines and PDPA is an added advantage
ISTQB certification is an added advantage
Proficient in the Test Automation technology including Selenium, Appium, Cucumber, REST Assured, AWS Device Farm and/or BrowserStack
