Our Legal & Compliance Division supports a full range of legal support and services on legal issues relating to business and operations of the firm. Within the division, the Compliance Department ensures that the firm has effective systems of control to ensure compliance with all relevant rules and regulations of the regulatory bodies. The function will principally be responsible for assisting with the implementation of the firm's Compliance Framework for the firm's key legal and regulatory compliance areas.
Provide advice, guidance and compliance training to support raising awareness and embedding a compliance culture
Support the monitoring team to develop compliance monitoring and control plans, which are either subject matter focused i.e. Privacy or Business Unit focused i.e. Beijing location
Support with developing and alignment with business units on annual compliance schedules and plans
Work with business units and subject matter experts to review, establish and conduct compliance monitoring which will include gap analysis
Prepare compliance monitoring reports
Develop methodologies, logs and reports on tracking any follow up actions, status of monitoring
Assist in the development, implementation and use of the Governance Risk Compliance system
You should have:
Degree holder in Accounting, Business, Finance, Law or related disciplines
Minimum 5 years of experience in compliance monitoring, risk management or internal audit in large banks or conglomerates
Experience in interpreting and analysing large volume of information and/or data and conducting gap analysis
High computer literacy; proficient in Word, Excel, Powerpoint
Excellent analytical skills and in using Excel for conducting analysis
Excellent verbal and written communication skills both in Chinese and English, proficiency in Mandarin is a plus
Strong interest in compliance, good understanding and preferably working knowledge of current risk management practices and techniques
A team player with strong interpersonal, communication and analytical skills, as well as high degree of professional maturity
A quick learner, self-motivated, and able to trouble-shoot problems independently

The level of appointment will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
