Your new company This role happens to be with one of the leading Chinese Investment Banks here in Hong Kong; they boast a stable and mature team of compliance professionals who come from International Banks and have paved the way for changes. There has been a recent opening that has come up whereby the Bank is looking for a seasoned Control Room professional to join their team.
Your new role You would be responsible for -
Assisting in the management of control room function, including handling wall crossing requests, advising the business on Chinese walls and information flow issues, providing clearance on PAD requests and declared OBI, reviewing marketing materials, performing conflicts checks on private side activities and managing the conflicts identified, and maintaining the firm's Restricted List and Watch List
You will also monitor multiple regulatory information sources to identify new and revised regulatory developments that are applicable to the company's business activities in Hong Kong, in collaboration other functions.
In addition, you will provide expert compliance advice related to compliance standards, specific propositions and / or transactions in relation to the business areas specified above;
What you'll need to succeed You will have 8+ years of Control Room experience; with experience in IBD compliance and be incredibly well versed with SFC regulations. Cantonese is an absolute must, with Mandarin being a plus but not mandatory.
