To keep track of sanction regimes of UN, MAS and OFAC and update List of Sanctioned Countries and circulate it to all branch staff for strict adherence
To keep track of updates in FATF, OECD, BASEL AML Index countries ratings and update List of High Risk Countries and circulate it to all branch staff for strict adherence
To ensure that the existing customer base is scrubbed against the updates in the list of sanctioned and high-risk jurisdictions, prompt the branches to perform triggering reviews on any such customers highlighted during the process, carry out review and follow–up on resolution of observations.
STR Administrator, STR Investigation and Reporting
To review any suspicious transactions reported by all the staff for possible referral to Suspicious Transaction Reporting Office through STRs
To investigate and keep record of all such transactions along with all the internal findings and analysis done in relation to them and refer to STRO if warranted
To update and maintain the STR register which includes keeping track of follow-up actions on STR cases, timely closure of triggering reviews and reporting of overdue reviews to Country Head
To perform annual trend analysis for all the STRs filed in a financial year and put up a report to Country Head
Trade Finance AML Advisory
To advise on day to day AML-CFT issues relating to Trade Finance
To clear name screening hits pertaining to pre-transaction screening of all trade transactions
Anti-Money Laundering Advisory
To attend to matters pertaining to advisory on customer on-boarding relating to retail accounts, credit & syndicated facilities.
To clear name screening hits
To advice business units on all matters pertaining to AML-CFT including review of various customer forms, processes, new products etc.
AML-CFT Awareness and Culture
To circulate all AML-CFT related updates to the concerned branch staff and ensure that the relevant materials are available on Intranet for ready access
To assist in content development and maintenance of in-house training content for all staff-including orientation training on AML-CFT, periodic refresher trainings for customer facing staff etc.
To develop and conduct quarterly in-house customized training sessions for trade finance
Delivery of AML Training via email broadcast, workshops and annual refreshers
To support transition in revising Bank's current AML-CFT practices to meet industry standards and to enhance user experience
Maintenance of Internal Lists
To maintain and update Internal Lists and circulate it with the relevant staff for strict adherence based on regulatory or other enforcement updates, internal undesirable customers etc.
To conduct Sample Reviews as scheduled in Compliance Review and Training Plans:
New and Revised AML Related Regulations
To ensure that any AML related regulations released by relevant authorities and agencies are circulated to bank staff and copies are maintained in a Change Register.
Timely clearance of the alerts assigned involving follow up with the BUs for timely information from the customer.
To undertake the EWRA activity for a business line allocated by Head Compliance.
To manage special projects relating to AML-CFT including developing scope of work, analyzing RFPs, performing proposal comparison, coordination with stakeholders and consultants, developing action remediation plans, preparing and maintaining trackers, providing periodic updates to Senior Management etc.
To act as a substitute for other team mates in their absence and provide training to team mates on the matters pertaining to compliance advisory, employee training, IPTO notices, sample testing, periodic reviews, name screening etc.
To track RBI regulations and ensure that regulations/ circulars released by RBI are circulated to the relevant bank staff and copies are maintained in Change Register.
A recognized degree, preferably in Accounting, Banking & Finance or equivalent.
Candidates with Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering specialist (ACAMS or Diploma in Compliance will be given a preference.
Minimum 3 to 5 years' relevant experience in Compliance of a sizable financial institute/regulatory body, experience in administering and managing Anti-Money Laundering Program.
Well versed in banking laws, operations, products and services within Retail/Corporate Banking/Trade Finance with good understanding of the Banking Act, AML/CFT Regulations,.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to interact with all levels of staff and management.
