A Private Wealth Advisory practice, located in Newark, DE, is seeking a highly motivated, experienced Financial Advisor with at least $30 million in assets under management to join our team. Series 7, Series 63 & 65 or Series 66 and state life insurances are required. Step into a critically important and instrumental role with an established practice at Ameriprise Financial. Assist in the daily business activities and the smooth operation of an ever growing financial planning office. Work as an employee of an independent advisor franchisee while focusing on growing your own client base.
As a Financial Advisor with our team, you will work with clients to help them achieve their financial goals and will be focused on creating and delivering a unique client experience that defines and differentiates your practice. This position will consistently follow high standards of business and professional ethics and legal and regulatory requirements when interacting with the general public and/or performing work activities.
Responsibilities and Time Allocation - Will change over time to meet the needs of the practice and can include other duties as assigned by the advisor.
Position Functions: Financial Advisor
Acquire new clients and/or increase business opportunities with existing clients through the Financial Planning process
Provide high quality service to our clients
Responsible for monitoring and maintaining client accounts involving complex issues and a variety of financial instruments.
Manage daily client transactions and inquires accurately, within established deadlines.
Deal directly with clients on a myriad of financial issues and needs through the Financial Planning process
Coordinate and follow through on client requests for financial solutions and services (i.e. open/close accounts, check orders, money transfer, trading etc.)
Research, follow-up, and resolve client inquires and issues through effective interaction with clients, third party vendors and broker dealer
Key Traits of a successful Associate Financial Advisor/Investment Analyst
Ability to meet with clients and present planning and portfolio strategies
Ability to recommend suitable investment solutions and services
Ability to market and service clients
High level of interpersonal skills
Effective communication with clients and other advisors/staff
Polite and clear phone manner
Ability to adhere to rules and regulations as stated and required by advisor, Ameriprise Financial and FINRA
Education and other requirements:
BS/BA in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Accounting or related field
Current client base with a minimum of $30 million in AUM
Series 7, Series 63 & 65 or Series 66 and state insurance licenses required
CFP® designation and at least 5 years of experience preferred
Strong work ethic and the highest level of professionalism
Self-starter, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Multi-tasker with the ability to perform under pressure with deadlines
Attention to detail and accuracy is essential
Compensation This role is designed with the security of a base salary combined with the upside potential and growth of variable incentive pay based on the growth of your individual client base. An offer will be made based on experience and situations.
