Anewly created project office within Mellon Investment Management is beingbuilt out with the responsibility for managing the development andimplementation of Mellon's strategic imperatives and business initiatives. Thisencompasses the development of business cases, execution of key initiatives andgeneral advisory and support to Mellon's senior executives. Responsibilities:
Leadsprojects and implements various business development activities aimed toincrease the growth and profitability of Mellon
Worksindependently, and directly with management and with executives in other areasof BNY Mellon
Works with individual business and functional leaders to helpshape their priorities and connect into Bank-wide strategic narrative andpriorities
Connects Mellon's core agenda to cross-business prioritiesand (when needed) serves as a convener
Identifies opportunities and helps develop strategic externalpartners (e.g., with large clients, technology companies, other industrystakeholders)
Helps source and incubate cross-business/new businessventures (digital, data)
Counsels senior business leaders with the objective of beinga trusted advisor
Manages complexity and leading multiple projectswith an unrelenting focus and prioritization
Bachelor'sdegree or equivalent combination of education and experience in businessmanagement or related field is required
2+ years of work experienced preferred.
Financialservices experience, preferably in the asset management and/or mutual fundsspace
Provensuccess in Project Management, particularly with large, complex projects
Priorexperience in mergers & acquisitions, lift-outs, divestitures
Strategicplanning and/or business consulting experience preferred
Sophisticatedanalytical, financial modeling skills, including valuation analysis and projectmanagement skills
Thoroughand comprehensive research abilities
Abilityto successfully manage multiple large, complex projects, priorities anddeadlines concurrently, often under tight time constraints
Excellent oral, written and presentation communication skills,including ability to present recommendations and highlight key points in asuccinct manner to executive management based on sound quantitative andqualitative analysis
Role could be based in: NY, Boston, San Francisco, or Pittsburgh
