The Role Responsibilities
Institutional Custody provider for digital assets
Reporting to head of sales and product you will be responsible for the network management and product strategy that will pro-actively grow assets under management for crypto assets (crypto currencies and other unregulated tokens), targeting institutional investors. Network management covers the overall ecosystem the custodian is connected to: Trading venues & exchanges, counterparties (custodians), OTC desks, issuer, service providers and
Create, develop and execute a network management strategy (in conjunction with the sales and business development strategy) to increase the value added services offered and grow assets under management for crypto assets
Own the commercial and/or partner relationships with trading venues, OTC desks, exchanges, 3 rd party vendors and other partner firms through detailed account planning and management
Build strong relationships with key decision makers and influencers to continually position the existing and future product and build/leverage a consistent referral model
Work with Risk and compliance to ensure each counterparty are in line with the group standards and risk appetite.
Build external connectivity around the product to support the Travel Rule ecosystem with trading venues and other custodians
Day to day relationship management and senior escalation point for service issues of vendors
Build Industry Forum/Association relationships and manage the participation and attendance in forums/events/consultations. Drive market advocacy of the product and digital asset industry in general
Create and develop the product strategy - internally and externally
Internally - own and develop the end to end product tools usage strategy for day to day activities of staff. Regularly review performance of tools with vendors and internal partners
Externally - develop strategic vision on current product vs how the institutional investors crypto assets landscape is changing. Ensure product enhancement vision is executed with co-ordination with internal partners - sales, client service, Legal, Compliance and technology/ops
People and Talent
Candidates will understand the digital asset and crypto landscape in depth and ideally have a range of contacts across industry participants within the ecosystem (trading venues, OTC desks, 3 rd party vendors etc...)
Will have proven success of managing network/vendor/client relationships
Will be able to demonstrate ability to create, develop and execute product management strategies
Self motivation and excellent communication skills
An excellent understanding of legal and technology risk, related to dealing with 3 rd party.
Responsible for assessing the effectiveness of the company's arrangements to deliver effective governance, oversight and controls in the business and, if necessary, oversee changes in these areas
Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework, in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role
Aware of crossborder regulation, in particular, impacting these partnerships
