My client is an ASX listed company with their businesses spanning the end-to-end automotive aftermarket supply chain covering Trade, Specialist Wholesale, Retail and Service. The business has grown significantly since listing, increasing revenues from $375m in FY15 to $1.5bn in FY20 with clear strategy to continue its strong growth trajectory. With this continued focus on organic and inorganic growth here in Australia and abroad, they are looking to build out the Strategic Development and Investor Relations team. There is now an opportunity for an experienced corporate finance professional to join the team as a Corporate Development Analyst based in Melbourne.
Reporting to the EGM, Strategic Development & Investor Relations, the Analyst will play an important role in the continued growth and development of the group, including M&A activity, group wide development projects, strategic planning and supporting investor relations activities.
You will assist in driving the firm's organic growth initiatives as well as designing and implementing the group's overall strategy with the view of optimising business performance. You will also provide the business planning, analysis and financial modelling required for initiatives such as geographic expansion, competitor analysis, investment opportunities and other value-add projects.
You will also support the CEO with the day to day running of the business, including actively attending and minuting executive team meetings, which will give you the unique opportunity to understand the wider operations of the business and its assets.
You will possess advanced technical and modelling skills, be able to demonstrate the ability to think commercially and show a high level of ability in managing relationships with stakeholders of all levels of a business. You will have tertiary qualifications in either Finance, Engineering, Commerce or Law with an MBA highly regarded.
Candidates will likely have 4+ years of experience, ideally within corporate advisory from either an investment bank, leading independent advisory firm, top tier consulting firm, or top tier CA firm. Candidates who have worked in an in-house M&A/corporate development role will also be considered. Sector experience within distribution/retail/FMCG will also be highly regarded.
This role represents an exciting opportunity for a first step into an active and diverse corporate environment.
Please note that applicants must have full working rights for Australia to be considered for this role.
