Editorial is a new and expanding function at Fidelity, and is evolving quickly to meet the needs of our clients. We have a multidisciplinary team of writers and producers as well as a production team to run our studios in London and Hong Kong. We work closely with our investment colleagues to find the best and most relevant ideas, which our distribution teams then use to engage with our more than 2.4 million clients across Asia Pacific, Europe, the Middle East and South America.
Purpose of your role
The Editorial department is looking for someone with a strong passion for creative media to support our dynamic team of producers, shooters and editors worldwide. Based in our Hong Kong office, we need someone with the right balance of technical skill and unique perspective to storytelling, to help accelerate Fidelity's approach to creating award winning editorial content.
Creatively light and shoot a variety of PTCs, interviews and b-roll in the studio and beyond
Take part in responding to creative briefs and offer technical approaches to support the narrative
Plan technical aspects of shoots, including conducting location recce's and risk-assessments both on and off-site
Use our 3-camera virtual studio for interviews with broadcasters and green screen shoots
Travel within the APAC region as a single operator for ENG shoots.
Set up and operate multi-track voiceover equipment using Adobe Audition in the studio and location recorders in the field
Engage with internal clients to facilitate the booking of the team, facilities and equipment
Complete basic video and audio editing using Premiere and other Adobe applications
Work with templated graphic assets
Take the lead on maintenance, repair, hardware and software upgrades, and upkeep of all equipment
Advise on needs for equipment purchase, repair, upgrades and consumable stock
Experience and qualifications required
Ability to rig location filming equipment, including tripods, monitors, lighting and audio equipment
Great knowledge of Sony FS5 and Sony A7Sii
A great multi-tasker who is good at prioritizing; you will constantly be juggling multiple projects
Loads of ideas about new ways to improve our output while being constantly excited by the opportunity to create original content
Fluent written and spoken English required. Fluent Cantonese and/or Mandarin would be strong advantages (and any other Asian languages would be pluses)
Great knowledge of modern studio equipment, including PTZ cameras, sound mixers, lighting desks and vision mixers
Experience working with green screen
Good level of editing on Adobe Premiere
Basic animation creation skills in After Effects
Basic colour correction in Premiere (Davinci Resolve is a bonus)
Some financial knowledge will be a real help
