Our HR Business Partners learn to have a deep knowledge of the business and delivery of all HR services to internal client groups to drive outstanding performance. You will learn the Technology and Operations business, the largest function in the firm in terms of employees and global footprint, in its various component - Data and AI, Client Experience, Investment Accounting, Green Package Reporting, Financial Reporting, Investment Operations and many other facets of the function - so that you are able to provide strategic HR partnership to the business leaders and the teams you support to improve their growth and impact. The role will work closely with senior management on high-impact engagement activities, with a heavy focus on employee experience and inclusion-related initiatives.
With a footprint across our major offices, this role has global coverage. You will operate independently, with the accountability to find people solutions to business issues. You must have a passion for solving sophisticated challenges and drive innovation to address talent priorities. You will work on key initiatives and projects in areas such as organizational design, talent development, employee relations, diversity and rewards, as well as facilitating the annual talent management processes as part of a global Technology and Operations HRBP team. We'll trust you to:
Design and execute workforce plans and talent initiatives to support our business strategy and operational objectives
Provide advice and direction on performance management and talent management including leadership development, accelerated development, succession planning, mentoring, talent reviews
Support the business with organizational change and development, influencing leaders to address people-related challenges for business success.
Partner with senior leadership to support strategic objectives and advance the business, including supporting managers on difficult people issues, helping navigate outcomes for hiring and compensation, facilitating the right people decisions for organization changes
Advance diversity and inclusion efforts for the business.
Provide consultation and support to an assigned global business group.
Partner effectively with the Global Tech & Ops HRBP team based in New York, London, Singapore and Gurgaon.
Your clients/colleagues will depend on you to:
Demonstrate an understanding of the vision, purpose and business imperatives to co-create a relevant talent strategy
Establish an effective partnership with leaders as a tenured business partner, capable of helping across key talent decisions, providing advice and expertise
Drive informed decision making by using data to identify trends; work with leaders to identify root cause of issues and develop effective solutions.
Understand and take an influencing role in the application of the Firm's Reward Philosophy through proactive consultation with the client and partnership with the compensation team to drive meritocratic decisions
Effectively leverage the wider HR function and specifically partner with other Business Partners, ER, Talent Acquisition and the Talent Management Team to execute business priorities and solutions
You need to have:
Ideally approximately 5-10 years demonstrable experience, preferably as an HR business partner or HR Generalist, or in talent management
Proven teammate, with acute awareness of fostering the right team culture
Demonstrated experience building strong, effective and trusted relationships and networks with business leaders
Strong communication skills, and the ability to influence and articulate a variety of issues to different audiences
Ability to work effectively across multiple geographies and partners
Ability to use HR data in generating insights and communicating findings back to the business
Ability to execute firm-wide talent initiatives with excellence in a global corporate environment, with a commitment to innovation and continuous improvement.
