BlackRock is looking for a cross-functional insights professional with strong data skills and experience in survey design and analysis to join the Global Marketing Research, Analytics, & Data (RAD) team - at either the Analyst or Associate level.
In this role, you will be responsible for answering some of the most strategic and compelling questions across all of our audiences: Clients, Investors, and Stakeholders in broader society. You will also produce insights that are clear, concise, and engaging for our partners and help us all make better decisions.
You will join a global team of data scientists, engineers, social scientists, and researchers focused on driving unique client and commercial impact - across products and business units - and shaping global marketing, business, and product strategy.
Manage standardization of rapid-return client surveys and drive this internal initiative for ongoing learning from start to finish
Analyze and interpret survey results, identify key insights and make actionable recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences
Champion a culture of research excellence, experimentation, and innovation across the firm
Introduce new research, analytics/modeling techniques, tools or methodologies
Acquire, clean, and analyze marketing, client, and financial data using a variety of tools and languages
Collaborate with a broad set of stakeholders to improve the effectiveness of business decisions through the use of data-driven insights
Utilize effective project planning techniques to break down complex projects into tasks and ensure deadlines are kept
Contribute to large-scale survey initiatives across the RAD team
Communicate findings to leadership to ensure insights are well understood and incorporated into business processes
Serve as an advocate for rigorous quantitative thinking and data-driven decision making
Serve in a newly created position jointly reporting to Data Science and Research VPs
What you'll bring:
4+ years of demonstrated experience in quantitative analysis, research, and finding insights in large datasets
Ability to communicate ideas, stories, and data sets graphically and verbally
Enthusiasm and curiosity for solving problems and answering challenging questions, while maintaining impeccable attention to detail and accuracy
You'll stand out if:
You have strong research experience, or have worked as a research analyst or in management consulting where you worked with a broad set of stakeholders and were responsible for synthesizing large amounts of information
You have experience working in a Marketing firm or function, or have worked with Marketing data
You have an advanced degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, mathematics, or computer science
You have experience interacting with data using R, Python, and/or SQL
You're familiar with a variety of BI and data visualization tools, such as Tableau, PowerBI, or D3.js
You have a strong desire to develop creatively and promote innovation
You're self-motivated and able to think big while also taking direction and feedback
You have excellent teamwork and collaboration skills
You're accurate, fast and cool under pressure
