The role is to support customer Data Owner to ensure proper collection, usage and handling of data asset to attain company's corporate goals, thereby increasing business value. This role also serves as a Data Steward of the Customer Data to operationalise data policies and standards for customer data management in Big Data Platform so as to support business efficiency and accelerate analytics outcomes.
Develop the solutions and processes to manage customer data according to the Data Operating Model. Processes identified to be mapped out and executed include but not limited to the following: Data Collection, classification, access, external disclosure, usage, management (data taxonomy and traceability), incident handling, retention and purging, monitoring and remediation.
Collaborate with business, process and system owners to improve customer data quality.
Ensure customer data quality to support reporting (to Regulators and management), manage risk, support business strategic directions and manage operation effectiveness.
Define the customer data quality rules, approval workflows, and availability / arbitration rules within BDP.
Owns customer data movement from Collection to Processing to Consumption within BDP.
Create conceptual, logical, and physical data models for customer data (including entities, attributes, inter-relationship and dependencies etc) within the BDP.
Ensure documentation of customer data (data catalogue, business glossary, data dictionary, data mapping and data lineage) is complete and current.
Takes accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and takes appropriate steps to mitigate the risks.
Maintains awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company.
Highlights any potential concerns /risks and proactively shares best risk management practices.
