Provide support to business in the development, implementation and regular review of policies and procedures for their operations and initiatives with due regard to all applicable regulatory requirements
Review the current compliance controls and identify proper actions for improvement
Review investigations into any complaints reported or made by both internal and external customers
Perform regular tracking on all outstanding regulatory issues or findings yet to be solved or responded
Handle examinations and enquiries from regulators.
Raise and maintain compliance awareness among staff by providing them with relevant information, publications and training on compliance matters
Degree holder preferably in Law, Accounting or related disciplines
5 - 8 years' banking, compliance, legal or audit experience, preferably in a sizable financial institution or regulatory bodies
Good knowledge in banking laws, operations, products and services
Possess good knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements relating to general banking compliance (considerations will be given to compliance knowledge and experience in other compliance areas)
Previous experience liaising and communicating with regulators would be preferable
Possess good knowledge of Information Technology and/or Fintech would be an advantage
Self-motivated, independent and able to communicate effectively at all levels
Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua)
