The Ameriprise Financial Human Resources Summer Intern program offers participating individuals exposure to a broad range of HR initiatives through hands-on work within a specific area of HR as well as opportunities to meet and learn from professionals in other areas of HR. As an intern working on our team, you will have the opportunity to learn and develop skills that will help you as you begin your path towards a career in human resources. You will be assigned to one of the following areas*:
Diversity & Inclusion
Enterprise HR Reporting
HR Business Partners
Organization Effectiveness & Development
Rewards & Recognition
*Intern assignments are determined based on business need as well as interest areas of the chosen candidate. Assignment decisions are typically communicated to interns 2-4 weeks before the first day of employment.
Year in school: Junior status
GPA of 3.0 or above
A degree with Human Resources concentration, or related fields, and/or previous Human Resources job experience
Previous employment experience
High degree of self-motivation with strong integrity and ethics
Ability to influence and strong relationship management skills
Demonstrated leadership focus with ability to drive results
Creative, strategic, and flexible skill sets
Interested in gaining broad Human Resources experience
Involvement in extracurricular activities in a leadership role
