The Role Responsibilities
Financial Crimes Compliance, Sanctions Europe & Americas ("FCCEA Sanctions") provides advice to relevant stakeholders on the interpretation and application of regulatory expectations, laws, best practices and Group Sanctions Policy and Procedures on an ongoing basis .
FCCEA Sanctions, provides regulatory and compliance advice to business and control units on an ongoing basis. These efforts involve responding to questions and issues as they arise and proactively keeping business units apprised of regulatory developments and Group policy changes. FCCEA Sanctions, along with other control functions, manages supervisory and Monitor queries, and advises Operations on transactions prior to execution. FCCEA Sanctions administers the Group Sanctions Policy in the Europe Region, including its implementation in accordance with Group standards, as well as the provision of targeted sanctions compliance training.
Provide advice to relevant stakeholders on the interpretation and application of regulatory expectations, laws, best practices, and Group Sanctions Policy and Procedures.
Producing various metrics reports for the EA RST on a regular basis.
Researching, drafting, and producing relevant data for responses to regulatory authorities within specific TAT.
Provide training to stakeholders as needed.
Act in backup capacity to teams OFAC block/reject reporting officer as needed.
Attend KRI Working Group and Issue Tracking Working Group.
Responsible for identifying, assessing, monitoring, controlling and mitigating risks to the Group. Also, an awareness and understanding of the main risks facing the Group and the role the individual plays in managing them.
The ability to interpret the Group's financial information, identify key issues based on this information and put in place appropriate controls and measures
Responsible for assessing the effectiveness of the Group's arrangements to deliver effective governance, oversight and controls in the business and, if necessary, oversee changes in these areas.
Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.
Responsible for delivering 'effective governance'; capability to challenge fellow executives effectively; and willingness to work with any local regulators in an open and cooperative manner.

Our Ideal Candidate
JD or Master's degree in Business, International Affairs or related field preferred.
5+ years of relevant work experience in Sanctions
ACAMS certification or industry equivalent preferred.
