Provide actuarial supports to Senior Actuarial Manager on product pricing and development / inforce business management as well as special projects.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Product Pricing and Development/ Inforce Business Management
Prepares new product / campaign pricing to meet the financial requirements of the company. Reviews the product / campaign features from product risk perspective. Conducts profitability analysis of existing products. (20%)
Reviews and proposes amendments to product design and actuarial basis to be applied in new product pricing and profitability analysis. (10%)
Supports actuarial related areas in the product / campaign implementation cycle to ensure accuracy and timeliness of system delivery. Responsible for meeting the timeline and schedule for product internal and regulatory approval process, review/prepare product reinsurance forms as necessary. (10%)
Review/ Perform experience studies/reports and propose best estimate assumptions timely. Reports if any adverse trend and abnormality is observed. (10%)
Prepares Universal Life crediting interest rate and provides support on High-Net-Worth Business. Support ILAS products on special quote/ campaigns (10%)
Represents Actuarial and provides required actuarial support to special projects including system enhancement and the implementation of new regulatory regimes. (10%)
Supports manager in co-ordination of task assignment and resources for the team. (5%)
Develops and trains up sub-ordinates to gain product knowledge and product pricing techniques. Regularly reviews and discusses the progress of subordinates and identify improvement/development areas. (5%)
Develops and reviews special quotations. (10%)
Performs other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by manager in order to meet business or other requirements. (10%)
Ensure team members who perform regulated activities have obtained the relevant licenses and fulfilled the licensing requirements
Minimum Job Requirements:
University / College graduate in Actuarial with at least 6-8 years of relevant experience
Attained Fellowship in Actuarial professional examination
Proficient in MS Office and data analysis techniques, knowledge of actuarial software will be an advantage
Experience in project and staff management
Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
You are required to obtain relevant license if your job involves in regulated activities
