We are seeking a financial analyst to become a key member of the Corporate Accounting team. This position will report to the Corporate Accounting Manager. Primary responsibilities include the month-end close and quarter-end close for the Company's domestic asset management legal entities as well as assisting with on-going accounting and financial analysis/projects as required by the Divisional Controller and Corporate Controller.
Timely and accurate month-end close and quarter-end close process with accounting, journal entry preparation, and associated financial analysis.
Prepare and coordinate the completion of balance sheet account reconciliations, financial analysis and supporting documentation.
Provide support for interim and year-end audits (internal and external).
Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) internal controls.
Assist with projects to improve accounting and reporting efficiencies.
Assume additional responsibilities as requested.
Undergraduate degree in accounting required with 1-2 years related experience.
Public accounting experience/CPA license a plus.
Strong computer skills (notably Excel) a necessity. Experience using Hyperion Essbase/Smartview a plus.
Familiarity with general ledger accounting software preferred. Experience with SAP general ledger software a plus.
Must be organized, detailed oriented and deadline driven to independently meet multiple ongoing deadlines.
Strong communication (verbal and written), organizational, and analytical skills required.
Ability to work independently on various projects to achieve desired results.
