Redstone Commodity Search are working with a major aluminium producer looking to hire an Aluminium Sales Officer to join the team in Singapore or Hong Kong.
Key Responsibilities / Tasks
Responsible for expanding the sales of physical aluminium value added products (billets, slabs, wire rod and foundry alloys) across Asia, with a predominant focus on South East Asian markets (Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam etc.)
Contribute to short and long term strategic planning for volumes and premiums through relevant market research and forecasting
Establish and maintain excellent customer relationships through communication, contract negotiation, visits, handling enquiries etc. to enhance the overall commercial success of the business
Liaise with departments such as logistics and pricing to ensure smooth day-to-day operational functions
Reports into the Sales Manager for Asia
Key Qualifications / Experience
At least 3+ years' experience trading or selling value added aluminium products (billets, foundry alloys, slab and rod) across Asia
An established network of clients and strong relationships with relevant aluminium customers across the region
Culturally astute with excellent knowledge of the supply and demand factors in multiple Asian countries
Multilingual is a must, with fluency in English and at least one other relevant Asian language
Located in Singapore/Hong Kong or happy to relocate
