Job Description We're looking for someone like who is able to:
Collaborate on the development, deployment, and testing of a variety of commercial real estate models
Wants to utilize state of the art statistical and econometric techniques to perform forecasting and simulation exercises with emphasis on stress testing under a variety of economic scenarios
Write economic reports for internal and external audiences
Document models and their methodology and discuss with clients and other industry experts
Demonstrate soundness of scenario assumptions by means of robust research and monitoring of political, macroeconomic and market developments
Interact with different teams across Moody's for scenario analysis
Qualifications Your expertise
An advanced degree (PhD/Master) in economics, statistics, or related quantitative field, exceptional candidates without a Master's degree but with highly relevant additional work experience will also be considered
Ideally two years of experience, performing CRE research, economic forecasting, risk analytics, or big data/alternative data analysis
Proficiency with statistical modeling software; knowledge of a programming language is preferred (particularly R or Python)
Experience with econometric modeling and/or generation of scenarios utilizing macroeconomic and financial indicators
Experience working in CRE analysis or research, a financial institution, or a credit ratings agency
Motivated, responsible, team-oriented individual with the ability to complete tasks independently
Problem solver using creative thinking and quantitative analysis
Strong writing skills with the ability to produce "copy-ready" reports
