The Compliance and Legal team within GS IA is looking for a dynamic and team oriented associate with a strong analytical and sceptical mind-set, ready to start making the difference from day.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS INTERNAL AUDIT
In Internal Audit, we ensure that Goldman Sachs maintains effective controls by assessing the reliability of financial reports, monitoring the firm's compliance with laws and regulations, and advising management on developing smart control solutions. Our group has unique insight on the financial industry and its products and operations. We're looking for detail-oriented team players who have an interest in financial markets and want to gain insight into the firm's operations and control processes.

The primary role of Internal Audit is to help protect the assets, reputation and sustainability of the organisation. Internal Audit, we ensure that Goldman Sachs maintains effective controls by assessing the reliability of financial reports, monitoring the firm's compliance with laws and regulations, and advising management on developing smart control solutions. Our group has unique insight on the financial industry and its products and operations.
We assist management in identifying risk and commercially managing risk by providing advice in developing control solutions and monitoring the implementation of management's control measures. IA assists the firm's Board of Directors Audit Committee in fulfilling its oversight responsibilities and regularly interacts with the external independent auditors.
The Compliance and Legal team in London is responsible for EMEA and Global audits related to core Compliance processes including Financial Crime controls (AML, Anti-Bribery, Sanctions).
RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
Able to work under minimal supervision on individual tasks or on team projects
Not afraid to ask questions and challenge existing controls
Highly motivated with strong analytical skills, willing and able to learn new business and system processes quickly
Acc urate, accountable and able to multitask while managing both time and work load
Gifted with excellent written and oral communication skills
A minimum of 5 years of experience in the financial sectors, especially related to financial crime controls either in Compliance or Audit, is required.
CAMS or any audit qualification (e.g. ACA) is preferred
