A major international bank with an enormous balance sheet, requires a Head of Compliance & MLRO to take over the helm from the incumbent who is stepping down. The London office is the firm's international flagship office and hub for their UK & EMEA business.
With a team of up to 5 supporting in Compliance and a team of 6 covering Financial Crime, the firm's key goals for the next 2 years are to tighten controls, improve training, enhance/review policies & procedures and create a stronger, more cohesive Compliance & FCC culture.
Candidates must have an equal balance of Compliance and Financial Crime experience as you will be responsible for a considerable amount of mentoring & training as well as leading on improvement programs across the first, second and third lines of defence.
The core business lines for the UK office include corporate lending, treasury, trade finance, foreign exchange and clearing & settlements amongst others. Counter-parties are almost entirely corporate.
Applications are welcomed from candidates who are currently registered as SMF16 & SMF17 for their respective firm or have the relevant experience to be accredited with the status by the FCA.
This role is only open to UK residents who must possess a minimum of 15 years in UK Banking Compliance and Financial Crime.
