Who we are looking for This is an independent VP-level role reporting into the Poland Head of Business Controls, Information Security and Business Continuity. The person in this role will take the function of the Alternate Continuity Director for the Poland Hub, and will work directly with State Street Poland business management, Enterprise Continuity Services (ECS) and other corporate functions to ensure effective implementation and compliance with the Enterprise Continuity Standards. The role includes managing a small team of dedicated professionals in Gdansk and Krakow.

What you will be responsible for As Head of Business Continuity you will:
Own the Business Continuity Program for State Street Poland and Ensure Compliance with State Street's global Business Continuity framework, including but not limited to Continuity Planning, Impact Analysis, , Testing, Incident & Crisis Management.
Ensure that Business functions have appropriate solution/strategy assigned per Enterprise Continuity Services (ECS) standards to sustain operations during an incident.
Drive assessment of the Business and Technical environment and make sure that Business functions identify continuity risks and non-compliance for various business lines and technology assets in meeting the recovery objectives.
Coordinate and track risk response, remediation plans and risk acceptances. Effectively collaborate with Business, Technology, Enterprise Continuity Services (ECS), Information Security, Real Estate and other key functions to ensure identified risks are mitigated.
Own the Crisis Plan, Call-tree invocation procedures, Incident Management Process design, track Incident trends/themes and determine measures to improve process efficiency and recovery/resolution time
Own business continuity education and awareness training in State Street Poland.
Lead planning and execution of table-tops/scenario exercises.
Consistently seek to identify risks and improvement areas in the Continuity and Resiliency program for State Street Poland, and escalate/propose solutions to Senior Management and ECS.
Collaborate with other senior managers in Global Continuity and ECS to ensure consistency in application of Continuity & resiliency Policies and Procedures
Deliver guidance to Business management on all aspects of the continuity program, including new program components and initiatives, ongoing program requirements, supporting technologies, etc.
Provide responses for Audit, Client and Regulatory Reviews as required, with respect to Business Continuity & Resiliency
What we value These skills will help you succeed in this role
Minimum 5-10 years of experience in within Business Continuity / Resiliency domain, preferably within the financial or technology industry
Experience in designing new Control Frameworks and Control processes
Experience in Incident Management Process and exposure to Technology
Continuity certification preferred
Cyber certification / knowledge a plus
Fluent Polish is a plus
