The Role Responsibilities & Our Ideal Candidate
Drive business performance
Promote analytics driven decision making processes across multiple segment/product portfolios.
Support key business decision making by delivering relevant and value added strategic and tactical analytics. Ensure insights are actioned through marketing, segment and product areas.
Provide oversight and guidance on country analytics solutions to achieve business design requirements, and work with the Analytics COE to deliver models on time to countries for leads generation to grow income in line with Retail Banking Strategy and P&L targets.
Advise on the design and implementation of multi-factor campaign designs which include the ability to test responses to variations on product bundles, pricing, risk, creative and channel.
Work with Country Analytics teams to identify and leverage internal and external data to significantly improve the volume and quality of New-to-Bank clients.
Act as a role model by consistently displaying leadership behaviours that encourage transparency and productive working relationships and a strong performance culture
Identify weaknesses across the end-to-end Analytics risk and control environment and monitor rectification as required.
Ensure adequate and appropriate systems and controls are in compliance with Group and Business policies, procedures, standards and codes, including those governing all Risk types, Compliance, Technology and Operations, Finance and Reputation.
Ensure effective implementation of Risk Management framework throughout Analytics teams in the region:
Such that an appropriate risk appetite is clear and integral to the way all employees operate, implementing appropriate controls consistent with global strategy
Effective processes are established and maintained to identify, manage, monitor and report risk
Systems and procedures to safeguard the security, integrity and confidentiality of information
Accountable to risk control owners and/or Group policy owners for the implementation of policies and control standards set by them, ensuring compliance and operating within risk tolerance and risk appetite and building a culture of good conduct.
Responsible for assessing the effectiveness of the Group's arrangements to deliver effective governance, oversight and controls in the business and, if necessary, oversee changes in these areas
Maintain awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.
Responsible for delivering 'effective governance'; capability to challenge fellow executives effectively; and willingness to work with any local regulators in an open and cooperative manner.

Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. Lead the Retail Analytics team to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank's Conduct Principles: Fair Outcomes for Clients; Financial Crime Prevention; The Right Environment.
