We are looking for an experienced governance professional with proven leadership skills to head our local Governance team in Luxembourg. The team is responsible for providing professional company secretarial services and governance advice to local Schroders management companies and fund structures in Luxembourg and other European countries.
As leader of the team of three, you will be responsible for delivering the highest standards of governance to Schroders' Luxembourg management companies, Luxembourg funds and local Group subsidiaries. The position will also play a key role in the development of corporate and fund structures, including those that will support the growth of Schroders' European private assets business..

The Luxembourg governance team is a team of four, including the post holder. It is a close-knit team which has high standards of professionalism and which operates under a certain amount of pressure due to the nature of the role.
What you'll do
Responsible for the provision of company secretarial services to Schroders group management companies in Luxembourg as well as Luxembourg fund structures including SICAVs, property vehicles, subsidiaries of a UK property investment trust, securitisation vehicles and other entities..
Responsibilities will include:
Deliver a service in line with governance best practice and statutory compliance requirements
Management and oversight of the local team in providing company secretarial services to fund structures and Group subsidiaries, delivering a service in line with governance best practice and statutory compliance requirements
Advise the boards of Group management companies and funds on governance matters to ensure that the corporate governance arrangements are sound, in line with local governance standards and Schroders Group policies and in keeping with the strategic development of the business
Advise the business and boards on appropriate corporate and fund structures
Provide governance advice to members of Schroders' local senior management team
Oversight of provision of company secretarial services by outsourced providers in relation to certain fund structures and development of the outsourced model
oversight of the governance of overseas branches of Luxembourg management companies
Be a member of the senior management team in Luxembourg
Report functionally to the Group Company Secretary and be part of his senior management team
The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need
Governance professional - qualified company secretary a strong advantage
Previous experience in the funds industry, and in particular complex fund structures, essential
Previous experience of managing a team
The knowledge, experience and qualifications that will help
Competent computer skill s, with a strong knowledge of MS office applications
Experience of statutory register software and Worksite an advantage
