The Sacramento County Employees’ Retirement System (SCERS) is a $9.8 billion public pension system with 29,000 members that has provided retirement, disability, and survivor’s benefits since 1941.

Minimum Qualifications A Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Public Administration or other field directly related to the intent of the class.
Desirable Qualifications: A Master's in Business Administration (MBA) or certification as a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) are desirable, but not required.

About Sacramento County Employees' Retirement System
Sacramento County Employees’ Retirement System (SCERS or the System) is a multiple-employer public employee retirement system,enacted and administered in accordance with the provisions of the County Employees Retirement Law of 1937 (California Government Code Section 31450, et seq.) (“1937 Act”).
Since its creation by the Sacramento County Board of Supervisors in 1941, SCERS has provided retirement, disability, and survivors’ benefits to eligible participants of the System. Under Article XVI, Section 17 of the Constitution of the State of California, the SCERS Board of Retirement is vested with plenary authority and fiduciary responsibility for the investment of monies and the administration of the System.
Together, the provisions of the State Constitution and the 1937Act establish SCERS as a separate and independent governmental entity from the public employers that participate in SCERS. On June 30, 2019, the County of Sacramento; Superior Court of California, County of Sacramento; and nine Special Districts participated in SCERS with a total membership consisted of12,678 active, 12,381 retired, and 3,602 deferred members.
