Prax PTE Ltd, located in Singapore is the Middle East & Asia focused business of Prax Group. Prax PTE trades physical crude oil, oil products, biofuels and LNG via an experienced and established team of traders. The company is busy evaluating M&A opportunities across the value chain in Asia and the region.
Prax PTE Ltd require a Crude Trader to join their growing team. The primary focus of the role is to work with colleagues in Singapore and internationally to develop and build the Asia section of the global physical crude trading book.
Physical trading and marketing of Crude.
Experience of marketing US crude to Asian outlets.
Experience of inter regional arbitrage moves for crude oil.
Risk management of the trading book.
Implement trading strategies based on market developments, analysis and arbitrage opportunities.
Developing and preserving strong trading relationships with counterparties.
Negotiating contracts with producers, refiners, traders and retailers.
Provide analytical valuations to support trading decisions.
Knowledge & Experience
Minimum 5 years crude trading experience with a reputable oil trading company in Singapore.
Knowledge of physical oil operations.
An understanding of the international crude markets plus in-depth knowledge of the Regional Asia market.
Experience of developing a marketing and trading book around inter-regional arbitrage moves for crude.
Strong connections with regional crude end-users.
Risk management and strong analytical communications skills.
Experience with relevant hedging instruments, oil & paper trading techniques.
Ability to work effectively within a multicultural work environment, in a team or autonomously across numerous time zones.
Degree or an equivalent qualification ideally in Mathematics, Economics or Engineering.
Good profitability track record.

Strong communication and influencing skills
Working collaboratively with key stakeholders
Full working knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes including Word and Excel
Attention to detail
Fluent in English and Mandarin
